Production people hold the key to world’s survival and economic growth. The world will collapse if production stop.  Nations do not grow on the strength of industries that are not productive. Industries cannot be productive by riding on the back of production and operations people who lack the right managerial administrative knowledge, skills, attitude, and motivation. CIAMA operation group (COG) which comprises the Production and Operation s management Society, Nigeria (POMSON) and the College of Manufacturing Management (COMAN) promoter professionalism for enhanced productivity by organizing and training production and operations people.

PRODUCTION AND OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT SOCIETY, NIGERIA

Production And Operations Management Society, Nigeria (POMSON) is a division of The Certified Institute of Applied management And Administration (CIAMA). It has been established to replicate the objects of CIAMA at specialist group level, provide a forum for production and operations managers irrespective of societal, economic or industrial sector to interact, share information, knowledge and experience, cross-learn, network and to update them on the application of good management and administration practices to production and operations for the attainment of higher performance standards. Members of POMSON receive membership certificate, use letters EPOMS, MPOMS, APOMS, attend meetings, workshops and conferences, receive publications etc. Members of POMSON are certified production and operations managers under the provisions of the law.
